Director's Message

Mrs. Carla M. Bell

Greetings Parents and Students!!!!  I am Carla M. Bell, Director of the IMPACT Center.  I am excited and ready to IMPACT our students’ lives with academic excellence and character skills.

My personal goal is to learn and pass along as much pertinent information to as many young people as I possibly can about becoming productive and model citizens in society, and not becoming a negative statistic.  I feel the first step in doing this is to be an example myself.

My professional goal is to offer educational experiences that will IMPACT the learner/student with the skills necessary for cultural, social, and moral development.  Education not only involves meeting a child's learning needs, but it should also embraces the fact that schools are a place where children must be valued, respected as their own person, and encouraged to maximize their potential.  As an educator and administrator, I recognize that each student has different capacities, interests, goals, and objectives. In knowing this, we must tap into each student's own abilities and potential.

I believe the “Students of Today are the Future of Tomorrow”; therefore, it is necessary that today’s students are educated to the fullest.  The world is constantly changing at a rapid pace.  As an educator and administrator, it is my responsibility to students to provide a learning experience to ensure that they can compete with their counterparts nationally and internationally.  I am committed to the cause of education, and I will support the educational system because I understand its significance to the social, moral, and economic development of our children.

I am married to Minister Gerry W. Bell, Jr. and we have one son, Gerryion DaVonte’.  We live in McCall Creek, MS, in the West Lincoln area.
